By using NEWMAP.ONLINE you agree that the 4 September 2026 cartographic “resolution” is a design fiction for teaching equal-area maps. It is not UN law and not an official UN-GGIM instrument.

The service

We publish an interactive Equal Earth inspector, metric scale tiers, and supporting notes. Features may change. The map is a visualization, not a navigational or cadastral product.

Independence

United Nations, UN-GGIM, and related names are used descriptively in an educational in-world frame. This site is not affiliated with the United Nations.

Data

Coastlines come from the public world-atlas 110m dataset. Rivers, lakes, glaciers, and peaks are Natural Earth 110m physical features. Distortion figures are rounded teaching values, not a substitute for geodesic software.
